JOHN C. SCHROCK

John C. Schrock, 69, a native of Lagrange county, Ind., died unexpectedly at his home east of Shipshewana on Aug. 18. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Shore Mennonite church, with burial in Miller cemetery.

A son of Cyrus and Catherine (Yoder) Schrock, the deceased was born July 9, 1878. He was first married to Grace Miller, who died and on Feb. 18, 1911, he was married again to Polly Hostetler, who survives.

Surviving with the wife are a son, Ora Schrock of Centerville; two daughters, Mrs. Clem (Ida) Mishler at home and Mrs. Eli (Mae) Miller of Archbold, Ohio; two stepdaughters, Mrs. George (Celestia) Mishler of Lagrange and Mrs. Clayton (Maude) Rheinheimer of Middlebury; two stepsons, Amos Miller of Detroit and Lee J. Miller of Howe; a brother David Schrock of Haven, Kas.; a half-sister, Mrs. Anna Richardson of White Pigeon; four half-brothers, Cornelius of Saginaw, Mich., Enos of Texas, Andrew of Kalona, Iowa, and Sam of Kansas.
