EIGHT-YEAR-OLD CHILD VICTIM OF POLIO IN ELKHART COUNTY, IND.
Goshen, Ind. — Polio claimed the seventh life in Elkhart County this year with the passing of Janice Kay Schrock, eight-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Schrock, at Northern Indiana Children’s hospital, South Bend, on Oct. 17.
Funeral services were held Oct. 20 at the Pleasant View Mennonite church, Lester Mann and Ira Johns in charge.
Hospitalized with the disease at Elkhart Oct. 16 was Mrs. Geraldine Raber, 23, of Goshen, wife of Chester Raber, pastor of the Sunnyside Mennonite church at Dunlap. She had been employed in the office of an Elkhart doctor.
