Truck Driver Killed In Indiana Crash

SERVICES FOR FATHER OF TWO CHILDREN HELD AT MIDDLEBURY

Goshen, Ind. — A two-truck crash on U. S. 20 near Michigan City, Ind. on April 3 resulted in instant death for Clyde Schrock, 31, father of two children residing near Middlebury.

Funeral services were held at the Middlebury Mennonite Church with Wilbur Yoder officiating.

Mr. Schrock, employed by the Simon Zook Company of Goshen was one of four drivers en route to Elkhart with a load of limestone when his truck crashed into the rear of a semi-trailer loaded with acetylene tanks. Fire raged through the wreckage and it was some time before his body could be removed. However, it is believed death was due to crushing injuries at the time of impact.

A native of Holmes County, O., Mr. Schrock was married to the former Carol Jean Kauffman of Middlebury. She survives with their daughter, 8, a son, 2, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam. P. Schrock.
