MRS. ANNA SCHNECK

Anna, daughter of Peter and Maria Basinger, was born near Pandora, Ohio, on May 9, 1872, and died at the Community hospital in Bluffton, Ohio on Jan. 4, 1948, after a week's illness of bronchial pneumonia, age 75 years.

On Sept 27, 1894, she was married to John Schneck of Sonnenberg, Ohio, at the St. John church near Pandora by the late Rev. John Moser. For several years they lived in Sonnenberg, but later moved to Pandora. Two sons and one daughter were born near Dalton and two daughters were born at Pandora. In the fall of 1945 they celebrated their golden wedding.

In her youth she accepted Christ as her Savior and was a devoted and active member of the St. John church, always attending when health permitted. She was a loving mother and of a friendly disposition, winning many friends. She also took great interest in mission work. She requested that few flowers be at her funeral, but that the money be used for the mission cause.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Clarence of Pandora; three daughters, Irma, (Mrs. J. A. Lambie) of Jerusalem, Palestine, Laura (Mrs. Sewell Pender) of Miami, Fla., Henrietta (Mrs. Aubrey Henderson) of St. Clair, Mich. One son, Isaiah, died in infancy. She also leaves two sisters, Sarah Basinger of Pandora and Mrs. Mary Edwards of Mississippi, and one brother, Adam Basinger of Terrace Park, Ohio.

Funeral services were held on Jan. 7 at the St. John church, Pandora, by Rev. Frank Harder, assisted by Rev. Arnold Smith of the Mission church. Interment was made in the nearby cemetery.
