POLIO TAKES TOLL IN OHIO AREA
Burton, Ohio. — Although the so-called “polio season” is past, the disease continues to take a heavy toll in this area, striking three families in the Mennonite community here.
The two-year-old daughter of Roman Schmuckers died of the disease en route to the hospital. The infant son of Gid Millers is hospitalized with polio, and the two year old daughter of Andrew Schlabachs is confined at home.
