1-W WORKER DIES WHEN HIT BY CAR AT CLEVELAND, OHIO
Parkman, Ohio. — An accident in Cleveland on April 28 claimed the life of Roman J. Schmucker, 22, who was in 1-W service in Sunny Acres there.
The young man and a companion, Lester L. Troyer of this community, were walking home from work when they were hit by a car. The latter was not seriously injured.
Services for the Schmucker youth were held in the Amish settlement here on April 29, after which the body was sent to his home at Hazelton, iowa. The funeral services held there sunday, May 2, at the home of his parents, Pre. John and Emma Schmucker, were largely attended.
