DANIEL M. SCHMUCKER

Daniel M. Schmucker, of Scott township, Kosciusko county, Ind. died at his home southeast of Nappanee Wednesday afternoon, March 9, at 3:55 o'clock following an illness of the last five years.

The services were held at the First Mennonite church of Nappanee with Rev. Rollin W. Moser officiating, and burial in the South Union cemetery.

Mr. Schmucker was a son of Moses and Amanda Helmuth Schmucker and was born May 9, 1890, west of Nappanee He was united in marriage to Florence Bassinger on Jan. 10, 1909, and they made their home near this city since that time. He was a mason by trade and carried on this work until forced to retire.

Surviving, besides Mrs. Schmucker are the following: his father, Moses Schmucker; six children, Milo D. Schmucker, Juliamae Brewer, Tony Raymond and Arline Schmucker, all of Nappanee, Herbert D. Schmucker, of South Bend and Chancey D. Schmucker, of Warsaw; two brothers, Eli, of Ayr and Henry Schmucker, of Nappanee; eight sisters, and seven grandchildren.
