— Relatives from Newton and Whitewater attended funeral services at McPherson last Friday for Donald Dean Schmitt, 26, who was fatally injured in a highway accident near Tonkawa, Okla. On Nov. 28. The young man and his bride of one day were on their wedding trip when their car was involved in an three-car crash on U. S. 177. Mr. Schmitt was thrown out and the car landed on top of him. In addition to his bride he leaves his mother, Mrs. Florence Loganbill Schmitt, and a sister, JoAnn Schmitt.
