— Funeral services for Ray W. Schmidt, 40, former Walton resident, who died Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. in a Pueblo, Colo. hospital, will be held Friday, Jan. 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Nazarene Church at Pueblo. He was born Dec. 19, 1918, in Harvey County and received his education in the rural Walton schools. He was married to Alberta Webb in 1951. The couple moved to Pueblo in 1952. He is survived by his wife Alberta, five children, Madeline, Bonnel, Barbara, Johnny and Abbie, his father Philip Schmidt and a sister Irene, Mrs. Milford Jantz, by many friends and relatives in both the Walton and Pueblo communities.
