• Funeral services for Mrs. Josephine Schmidt, 90, lifelong resident of the Pawnee Rock community and widow of Jacob Schmidt, were held at the Bergthal Mennonite Church there on May 3. She died at the Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, on April 30.
