Jacob Schmidt, 77 years old, passed away at his home in Pleasant township, early Monday morning, May 30. Mr. Schmidt had lived in Harvey county for more than 50 years. He is survived by his widow and three sons, Isaac and Bernhard of Pleasant township and Abraham of Marion county.
Mr. Schmidt was taken from the Sprinker Mortuary to the home Wednesday afternoon where short services were held at two o’clock, and at the Gnadenberg church, at three o’clock. Both services were conducted by Rev. G. N. Harms. — Journal.
