— H. R. Schmidt, one of the old settlers of the Goessel community, passed away at his home there last Monday. Funeral services will be held at the Alexanderwohl church Friday afternoon.

— Funeral services for H. R. Schmidt of the Goessel community were held at the Alexanderwohl church Friday afternoon. Because of the unusually bad condition of the roads, the attendance was not as large as was anticipated. Burial was made in the private family cemetery about one mile from the church.
