Ewald "Al" Schmidt, 67, died Jan. 3. Funeral services were held in our church on Jan. 7, with Chris Atkins officiating. Survivors include his wife, Ella; a daughter and her husband, Paulette and Neil Vickers of Norman; three brothers, Art of Burlington, Colo., Herb of Dalhart, Texas, and Leonard of Lubbock, Texas; a sister, Anne (Mrs. Ernest) Harder of Hereford, Texas; and two granddaughters.
