— A life-long resident of this vicinity, Ernest L. Schmidt, 44, died of a heart attack at his home on West Broadway Friday night, June 10, and funeral services were held at the Gnadenberg church on Monday with Rev. J. J. Voth officiating. Surviving him are his wife, the former Zelda Harms, two children, Iris M. and Carol Kay, three brothers and one sister.
