● Edna (Voth) Schmidt, 83, died Dec. 30 at Kidron Bethel Home, Newton. Funeral services are being held Jan. 4 at Grace Hill Mennonite Church, rural Whitewater, with James Voth officiating. Burial is in the church cemetery. A native of Marion County and a resident of Harvey County since 1931, she was a homemaker. Survivors include three daughters, Bertina Ensz of Hesston, Pauline Schmidt of Wichita and Caroline Schmidt of Haven; one sister, Margaret Voth of Goessel; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Herbert, died in 1983.
