DAVID SCHLONEGER

David Schloneger, son of the late David and Nancy Zook Schloneger, was born near Louisville, Stark County, Ohio on Sept. 9, 1894, and died at his home in Sarasota, Fla. on Jan. 2, 1971 at the age of 76 years, three months, and 23 days.

In 1922 he became a member of the Beech Mennonite Church. In 1927 he was married to Emma Krabill, who preceded him in death in 1947. In 1952 he was united in marriage to Mrs. Grace Rymer of Randolph, Ohio. After retiring as salesman for the J. R. Watkins company they moved to Sarasota, Fla. He then took his church membership to the Bayshore Mennonite Church at Sarasota. Paralysis with other complications caused his death.

Besides his parents and first companion, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Merle Schloneger of Sarasota; one stepson, Richard Rymer of Kent, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Mrs. William Hathaway of Akron, Ohio; one foster daughter (Ruth) Mrs. Jerry Unger, and one foster son, Charles R. Harper, both of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Eldora Sommers of North Canton, Ohio and Pearl, Mrs. LeRoy Rine of Canton, Ohio; one brother, Melvin Schloneger of Sarasota; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Bayshore Mennonite Church in Sarasota on Sunday, Jan. 3, with Bro. Nelson Kanagy officiating, and at the Beech Mennonite Church, Louisville, Ohio, on Jan. 5 with Wayne North and O. N. Johns officiating.

Interment was in the Beech Church cemetery
