RETIRED FARMER, LIFE-LONG RESIDENT OF ILLINOIS COMMUNITY DIES
Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were conducted at the Metamora Mennonite Church on Sunday, Sept. 14, for John W. Schertz, 73, retired farmer and life-long resident of this vicinity.
Mr. Schertz died at his home in Metamora Sept. 12 after being ill for several months. He had engaged in farming all his life until moving to Metamora 10 years ago.
