She passed to her eternal reward Jan. 10, 1959, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Raymond Heiser, Dewey, Ill., at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 19 days. Death came somewhat unexpected after a two-week period of hospitalization.

On Dec. 15, 1903, she was united in marriage to August W. Schertz of Roanoke, Ill. who preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1939. To this union were born two sons and three daughters, who survive: Lloyd of Lowpoint, Ill., Ray T. of Flanagan, Ill., Irene, Mrs. Emery Heiser, of Foosland, Ill., Mrs. Blanche Grieser, San Bernadino [sic San Bernardino], Calif., Hilda, Mrs. Raymond Heiser, Dewey, Ill.

Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, three of which are in California and one in Jerusalem, Jordan; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Peter and David Ulrich of Eureka, Ill., and Emmanuel Ulrich of Roanoke, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Barbara Schertz, Mrs. Will Schrock and Mrs. John Harnish, all of Eureka, Ill. and Mrs. Elizabeth Schertz, Falfurrias, Texas. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

She accepted Christ in her youth and united with the Metamora Mennonite church, to which she was faithful until the time of her death.
