JOHN F. SCHELLENBERG

Funeral services for John F. Schellenberg, 62, were held July 22, 1960 at the First Baptist church in Dalhart, Texas. Rev. Jack Pearce, the pastor, officiated. Mr. Schellenberg, in ill health for two years, passed away on July 20 in Coon Memorial hospital.

A native of Harvey county, Kansas, he was a son of Abraham and Susanna (Flaming) Schellenberg. He moved to the Coldwater community north of Dalhart 30 years ago. He was a farmer-stockman.

He married Miss Claudia Rudd of Goodwell, Okla. on June 27, 1937. They have one daughter, Jonna Lu, 14.

He was converted and joined the First Baptist church of Dalhart on April 11, 1948. He served his church faithfully as long as his health permitted.

In 1951 the family moved to Dalhart to enter their daughter in the Dalhart school. They continued to spend the summers at the ranch until this year.

He is survived by his wife and daughter, three brothers, six sisters, two half-sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
