MANITOBA TEACHER AND YOUTH WORKER CALLED AWAY IN DEATH
Altona, Manitoba. — Funeral services for Orlando Sawatzky, 32, teacher, youth worker and the father of two children, were held at the Altona Bergthaler church on Sept. 17. He died here Sept. 13 after being ill since Jan. 1 of this year.
Mr. Sawatzky, a graduate of the provincial normal school, taught school for five years. He was active in various church endeavors, especially youth work, serving on the committee of the Manitoba Youth Organization and the retreat committee. He was the first director of the Christian Home Hour heard over Station CFAM, Altona.
