Corn, Okla. — Mrs. Ida Edith Sawatzky, one of the pioneers in this western Oklahoma region, died Jan. 14 at a Weatherford nursing home at the age of 94.

Mrs. Sawatzky, the former Ida Edith Penner, was born in Landskrone, South Russia, in 1875. When she was four years of age the family came to America and settled at Hampton, Neb.
