ANNIE SAWATSKY

(Mrs.) Anne Sawatsky, beloved wife of Peter F. Sawatsky of Dalmeny, Sask., was born on August 15, 1905, to Peter K. and Anna Buhler Janzen of Dalmeny. She grew up in the community, received her education there, and there found Christ as personal Saviour while still a young girl. She was baptized upon her confession of faith and received into the Dalmeny Church on September 18, 1921. She enjoyed participation in the work of the church, singing in the choir, joining in prayer and working in the sewing circles.

She was united in marriage to Peter Sawatsky on December 5, 1929, a union that was blessed with three sons. Her desire for the spiritual welfare of her family was rewarded with the salvation of all her children.

She went to her reward on October: 21, 1967, leaving to mourn her passing, her husband, Peter; and sons, Allan .and Gerald and their families of Carrot River, Sask., and Peter and family of Saskatoon; and three sisters and four brothers. The funeral was in the Dalmeny Mennonite Brethren Church, October 26, with Rev. Sylvester Dirks officiating. Rev, Nick Willems of Saskatoon spoke the message, stressing the certainty of the resurrection and what it implies for the believer.
