Fatal Auto Accidents In Ohio, Saskatchewan

DEFIANCE, O. RESIDENT AND MAIN CENTRE, SASK. BUSINESS MAN KILLED

Archbold, Ohio. — Injuries sustained in an auto-truck crash on Aug. 20 proved fatal to Chris E. Rupp of Defiance on Sunday evening, Sept. 3, in a Toledo hospital.

The collision on U. S. 20 and Route 295 resulted in a broken pelvis and badly fractured arm for his wife, Alta. She survives with their four daughters and six grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Rupp, who was 60 years of age, were held at the Evangelical Mennonite Church here, Rev. H. E. Bertsche in charge.

Main Centre, Sask. — Funeral services for H. F. Kehler, 45, well known farm implement dealer here who was instantly killed in a one-car accident Aug. 24, were conducted at the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church on Aug. 28.

The accident occurred in the Meadow Lake district, where Mr. Kehler had gone on business.

Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Martens, a son and daughter at home and a married son and daughter.

FOLLOWS HUSBAND IN DEATH AFTER OHIO HIGHWAY ACCIDENT

Archbold, Ohio. — A highway accident in August which claimed the life of Chris Rupp of Defiance also proved fatal Sept. 17 to his wife, Mrs. Alta Rupp, 57, who died at a Toledo hospital. Mr. Rupp succumbed to his injuries two weeks earlier.

Both were members of the Evangelical Mennonite Church of Archbold, where funeral services for Mrs. Rupp were held Sept. 20.
