WILLIAM W. ROTH

Funeral services were held May 21 at the Nampa Mennonite Church, Nampa, Idaho, for William W. Roth, who passed away May 16, 1962, at his home following a heart attack.

Mr. Roth was born in Noble, Iowa on June 13, 1882 and came to the Nampa area in 1926 from Montana. He farmed in the Deer Flat and Lone Tree communities until his retirement in 1951.

He was married to Katheryn [sic Kathryn] Birky at Hopedale, Ill. on Jan. 1, 1908. She died in 1954. On Dec. 23, 1956 he married Maggie Coleman at Cardwell, Ida.

Mr. Roth joined the Mennonite church in young manhood and was a member at the time of his death. He was deeply concerned in things spiritual and attended services whenever health permitted. The last few years he was more or less confined to his home because of a heart condition. He was a kind and loving friend to all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of Nampa; three daughters, Mrs. Elliot H. Zuercher of Denbigh, Va., Mrs. Warren Spangenburg of Nampa, and Mrs. Robert N. Zuercher of Salt Lake City, Utah; three sisters, Mrs. Aaron Eichelberger of Filer, Ida., Mrs. Sam Stauffer of Tofield, Alberta, and Mrs. Simon Augustine of Spartanburg, Pa.; two stepsons, Harold Coleman of Caldwell, Ida. and Marion Coleman of Boise, Ida.; nine grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

The funeral services were conducted by Ministers Harold Hochstetler and David A. Good. Interment was made at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery, Nampa.
