Vernon L. Roth, 81, a retired farmer and current Child Evangelism Fellowship evangelist, died Nov. 19 at his home in rural Whitewater. Services were held at Swiss Mennonite Church, Whitewater. Survivors include his wife, Jean; three sons, John of Telluride, Colo., Dale of Las Vegas and David of Whitewater; two daughters, Judy Schellenberg of Dallas, Ore., and Debra Fouts of Denver; two sisters, Ruth Voth of Buhler and Polly Bales of Logan; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His first wife, Pauline; and a son preceded him in death.
