ROY ROTH

Roy Christian Roth, son of the late Valentine and Lydia (Stauffer) Roth, was born Oct. 1, 1908 at Milford, Nebr., passed away from complications of a heart condition at the Tofield, Alberta Municipal hospital on Nov. 27, 1959 at the age of 51 years, one month and 27 days.

At the age of two years he moved with his parents to Tofield, Alberta.

On Feb. 18, 1931 he was married to Mary Lehman, who survives. Besides his loving wife he leaves to mourn his sudden passing one daughter Vivian of Tofield; two sons, Vernon of Tofield and Donald of Ryley, and one grandson.

Also surviving are three brothers and four sisters: Rueben [sic Reuben] of Wauseon, Ohio; Joe and George of Tofield; Mattie (Mrs. Ed Sitler) and Martha (Mrs. Melvin Sitler) of Camrose; Grace (Mrs. Melvin Lehman) Ryler; and Florence (Mrs. Leonard King) of Edmonton.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother, Melvin of Wellman, Iowa.

He accepted Christ in his youth and was a faithful member of the Mennonite Church at the time of his passing.

In 1958 he moved from his farm to Ryley where he operated the Alberta Poultry Marketers egg station.

Funeral services were held on Dec. 2 at the Salem Mennonite church in charge of Bishop J. B. Stauffer and Minister Paul Voegtlin.
