BURNS SUFFERED IN KITCHEN ACCIDENT PROVE FATAL

Archbold, Ohio. — Funeral services were held at the Central Mennonite church near here Dec. 16 for Mrs. Joseph N. Roth, 56, who suffered fatal burns in her kitchen on Tuesday afternoon. Simon Stucky, Ray Sauder and Wyse Graber conducted the services.

Mrs. Roth, alone in the house, used a piece of paper to wipe up some grease which had boiled over on her stove. When she attempted to put the paper in the stove, flames ignited her clothing.

She managed to phone a neighbor, Mrs. William Leupp, who came to her aid but found much of her clothing burned. She passed away at the Wauseon hospital the following morning, Dec. 13.

Survivors in the immediate family are her husband; three daughters, Verda of Ft Wayne, Ind., Clella and Janice, and two sons, Dorwin and Herbert; her mother, Mrs. Nancy Short of Stryker; three sisters and one brother.
