Young Son of Wooster Pastor Killed When Struck By Car

Orrville, Ohio. — Keith Wayne Ross, son of Rev. and Mrs. Richard Ross of rural Wooster was killed Sunday evening, June 8, when he was struck by a car six miles east of Wooster. The boy was a second grade student at Smithville Elementary School. His father is pastor of the Salem Mennonite Church.

According to Joseph S. Medve of Orrville, the driver, Keith ran in front of his car and he was unable to stop. The boy was pronounced dead on arrival at Orrville Osteopathic Hospital.

Funeral services were held June 11 at the Salem church with Rev. Elmer E. Yoder of Garden City, Mo. and Rev. Daniel Hilty of Orrville officiating. Besides his parents, Keith is survived by five brothers.
