— Funeral services took place Wednesday afternoon at the Gnadenberg mennonite church for John Rosfeld, 66, of route 3, Newton, whose death occurred last Sunday after a long illness. Rev. J. J. Voth and Rev. J. E. Entz were in charge of the services. Mr. Rosfeld was born at Steinbach, South Russia, on March 23, 1880, and came to this country with his parents in 1892. The family settled in the Hillsboro ccommunity and later moved to the present community. He had lived on the same farm for 19 years. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Kliewer; one daughter, Mrs. Paul Regier of rural Newton; three sons, Louis of route 3, Newton, Lawrence W. of Newton, and Theodore E. at home; and two brothers.
