LIGHTNING BOLT STRIKES LANCASTER CO. FARMER IN FIELD

Lancaster, Pa. — While helping combine wheat in a field near Salunga, Henry Rosenfeld, 57, was instantly killed by a bolt of lightning in a sudden storm. Funeral services were conducted at the East Petersburg (Old) Mennonite church on July 27. His pastor, Rev. Ward W. Shelly, and Rev. Elmer D. Hess officiated.

Born in the Crimea, Russia, he was a member of the Bethel Mennonite church, Lancaster. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna Rosenfeld; seven children; his aged mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Rosenfeld of the Oreville Mennonite Home; and a number of brothers and sisters.
