— The report in last week's paper of the death of Mrs. Herman Rogalsky was somewhat confused due to a misplaced line of type. It should have read, "She is survived by her husband, Herman Rogalsky, and the following children; Mrs. J. E. Brace of Springville, Calif. and Edwin Smith of Newton."

MRS. MARIA ROGALSKY

Maria Reimer Rogalsky, beloved wife of Herman Rogalsky, was born July 8, 1888, in Marion County, Kansas and was reared in the home of her parents, Abraham J. and Helena Neufeld Reimer.

She was baptized and accepted as a member of the Alexanderwohl church by Rev. Peter Balzer on June 3, 1906.

She was united in holy matrimony with Herman Rogalsky May 23, 1917, and they lived happily together for almost 39 years. In the fifth year of their marriage they adopted two children, Anna and Edwin Smith, ages 13 and two and on-half years, who brought joy into their home for many years.

When the Goessel Mennonite church was organized they transferred their membership there. On May 23, 1942, they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, and two years later moved to Newton where they have resided for the past 12 years.

She is survived by her husband, Herman Rogalsky; the children, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Bese of Springville, Calif. and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Smith of Newton; three grandchildren, Mrs. Bonnie Baumgartner and husband Robert, Joyce Ann and Sandra Sue Smith; one great-granddaughter, Ronda Jean Baumgartner, who was a great joy to her; a sister, Anna Goertz of Newton; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. C. A. Reimer of Goessel and Mrs. P. A. Reimer of Shafter, Calif.; one brother-in-law, J. H. Neufeld of Phoenix, Ariz.; and a number of nieces and nephews who mourn her passing.

Preceding her in death were a sister Helen (Mrs. J. H. Neufeld), one brother J. A. Reimer, and nine brothers and sisters in infancy. Also one half-sister and four half-brothers preceded her.

She died at the age 67 years, 10 months and 20 days. She was very active in church work and sewing society, a devoted wife and mother, and a loyal friend to all who knew her.
