Farmer Killed When Tractor Overturns

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR ALBERT RIEGSECKER HELD AT ARCHBOLD, O.

Archbold, Ohio. — Funeral services for Alert Riegsecker, well-known farmer here who met instant death in a tractor accident, were conducted April 18 at the Central Mennonite church. Rev. Jesse J. Short and Rev. Roy Sauder officiated.

Mr. Riegsecker had gone to another farm to assist Don Reichardt in repairing a tractor. The machine was being pulled by another tractor when it suddenly started up . Mr. Riegsecker swerved to avoid hitting Reichardt and the tractor he was driving overturned, pinning him underneath.

A lifelong resident of this community, he is survived by his wife, Leah; two sons, Norman of Elmira and Darrold [sic Darold], a student at Ohio State university; three daughters, Mrs. Lavern Burkholder of Archbold, Carol and Sharon at home; and six grandchildren.
