— Mrs. Sara Richert, 92, a lifelong resident of Newton and member of the First Mennonite Church most of her life, died Dec. 30 at the Bethel Home for Aged. The former Sara Quiring, she was married to J. H. Richert in 1903, and he died in 1928. She was long active in church work and in the Bethel Hospital Auxiliary. Surviving are a son, Carl J., and a daughter, Mrs. Henry R. Ensz, both of Newton; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as a foster son, Dr. John L. Nieman of Overland Park. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church, with Rev. Robert Suderman and Rev. Esko Loewen officiating.
