Funeral services for Otto P. Richert, 66, were held Monday forenoon at the Bethel College Church, with Rev. John Esau and Rev. Esko Loewen officiating. Mr. Richert died Nov. 9 at Bethel Deaconess Hospital where he had been making good progress after suffering a heart attack. A son of the late Rev. P. H. Richert, he grew up in the Tabor Church community north of Newton. For some years he had been television technician for Smalley’s TV and Marine in Newton. He was a charter member of the Kansas Electronic Assn. and also held membership in the National Electronic Assn. Surviving are his widow, the former Linda Dyck; three daughters, Mrs. Richard Haake and Mrs. Johnny Vines, both of Houston, Tex., and Carol Anne of the home; two sisters, Stella Richert of Newton and Mrs. R. N. Crockett of Topeka; two brothers, Anton S., now in Jamaica, and Sam of Wichita; and seven grandchildren.
