● Funeral services were held last Friday at the Alexanderwohl Church for Mrs. Anna Richert, 91, who died Feb. 3 in a Wichita hospital. Rev. Aaron Epp officiated at the services. Mrs. Richert was one of two surviving members of the original Alexanderwohl immigrant group to come to this country in 1874. She and her husband, Jacob Richert, entered the Bethesda Home at Goessel in 1961, and he died in March 1962. Mrs. Richert had transferred to a Wichita rest home on Dec. 1, 1964. She leaves one sister, Mrs. Abraham Bestvater of rural Canton; one brother, P. J. Franz of Goessel; a son-in-law, R. G. Warkentin, and one grandson, both of Wichita.

Anna Richert, Alexanderwohl Church, Goessel, Kan., was born Aug. 3, 1873, in South Russia, and died Feb. 3. She was one of the two surviving members of the group of Mennonites who came to America in 1874.
