EDWARD E. RICHARD

Edward E. Richard, 55, died Tuesday evening, July 14, in mercy hospital in Iowa City, Iowa after a long illness. He was the son of Michael and Lydia (Rich) Richard and was born on a farm near Wayland, Iowa Jan. 2, 1898l.

He was married to Hazel Sutten Dec. 27, 1922 in Washington, Iowa.

Since his marriage he had lived near Wayland on the same farm which was his chief interest and enjoyment since his health began to fail.

Mr. Richard was a member of the Eicher Mennonite church.

Survivors include his wife; two brothers, Dave and Will Richard both of Wayland; two sisters, Mrs. H. F. Eicher of Wayland and Mrs. J. J. Widmer of Washington; also a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother and one brother.
