SUSIE REIMER

Susie Reimer was born on Nov. 8, 1910 at Meade, Kansas, the vicinity in which she grew up and spent the rest of her life.

On May 26, 1929, she was baptized and accepted into the church.

Although not of robust health for several years due to certain temporary ailments, she was not ill until the last few years, whereupon she sought medical aid in Wichita on March 22, 1950. The doctor there diagnosed her case to be cancer and put her under treatment. These were not as effective as hoped for, and after being told he could not help her any further, aid was sought in Dallas, Texas.

An improvement seemed noticeable for some time; however, at the beginning of this year she was definitely worse, finally becoming completely bed-ridden the last six weeks. She passed away quietly on Friday, March 9, 1951, at 7:30 p.m. at the age of 40 years, four months and one day. We sincerely believe Susie has gone Home to the Savior she loved.

Throughout her time of illness she was hopeful, expecting to recover, yet she also expressed herself as being glad to die if the Lord should call. Though she suffered much, she was always very patient and claimed God’s presence and power to endure. During the last while she had a desire to be released from her suffering and to be with the Lord in whose presence there would be joy forevermore.

She loved the ministry of friends through song and word and has repeatedly voiced her appreciation and said that she was strengthened through these song and visits.

Although we mourn for her, we are looking for a glorious union in the presence of our blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. — The Reimer Family.
