Selma Reimer
GOESSEL — Selma Reimer, 88, died Thursday (Oct. 31, 2002) at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
She was born Sept. 8, 1914 in Marion County to Peter and Anna (Schmidt) Bartel. She married Jona Reimer Oct. 28, 1954 in rural Goessel. He survives of Walton.
She was a registered nurse and practiced nursing in Kansas, Mexico, California and Colorado. She was a member of Tabor Mennonite Church in Goessel.
Other survivors include: a son, Delbert Reimer of Taylor, S. C.; a daughter, Nadine Reimer Penner of Wichita; three brothers, Peter Bartel of Wichita, Roland Bartel of Eugene, Ore., and Otto Bartel of Goessel; two sisters, Martha Peters and Linda Goertzen, both of Goessel; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Memorials have been established with the Bethel College School of Nursing in care of Miller Funeral Home in Goessel.
