SARA BERGMAN REIMER

Sara Bergman Reimer was born to Peter and Helena Voth Bergman on Jan. 25, 1893 in McPherson County, Kansas, and went to be with the Lord on June 22, 1973, at the age of 80.

At the age of 11 months she came with her parents to a farm one-half mile east of Corn, Okla. Here she received her elementary education. Later she attended the Corn Bible Academy, from which she graduated in 1910.

At the age of 15 she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. She was baptized on Jan. 6, 1909 and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church, where she remained a faithful member to the end.

On Nov. 26, 1911 mother married Cornelius F. Reimer. This union was blessed with eight daughters and one son. Our parents resided on a farm west of Corn until they retired in 1953, when they moved to Corn. Father was suddenly taken from mother’s side on March 15, 1969.

Mother loved her family and prayed for us faithfully. She loved her Lord and his church. her one great interest was the Naehverein which is now called Senior Sewing Circle, in which she served for many years. She also taught in the Sunday School for many years.

Mother was involved in an automobile accident on June 19, 1973. She was taken to the Cordell Memorial Hospital where she went to her eternal home on June 22, 1973.

She leaves to mourn eight daughters, Ruby, Mrs. Henry Enns of Toutle, Wash., Dora, Mrs. Emil Wichert of Fairview, Okla., Liesbeth, Mrs. Pete Enns of Ferndale, Wash., Helen, Mrs. Henry Peters of Corn, Lillie, Mrs. John Kliewer of Weatherford, Okla., Tillie, Mrs. Eugene Kopper of Cimarron, Kan., Naemie, Mrs. Gus Janzen of Okeene, Okla., Sara Ann, Mrs. Bob Flaming of Bonaire, Netherland Antilles; one son, Cornlius F. of Hooker, Okla.; one sister, Mrs. A. G. Duerksen; seven sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, 24 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Victor Flaming. A son-in-law, Emil Wichert, followed her in death within 10 hours of her homegoing. — The Family.
