MARIE CORNELSEN REIMER

Marie Cornelsen Reimer was born to Gerhard and Maria Cornelsen on Aug. 4, 1896, near Fairview, Okla. She passed to her eternal reward on Oct. 18 1956, at 12:20 a. m. at the age of 60 years, two months and 14 days.

She realized her lost condition and need of the Saviour in her early teens, and upon confession of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, was baptized and became affiliated with the North Mennonite Brethren church of Fairview on April 17, 1910.

She was united in marriage to Fred P. Reimer on Nov. 20, 1927. Through our life's journey together we tried to fulfill the words that were spoken at our wedding by Rev. J. J. Martens from John 2:5, "Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it." We have shared many of the Lord's blessings for which we have always been thankful. She is resting in heaven, awaiting the resurrection morning and her glorified body.

After our marriage we lived at Meade, Kans. for one year and later moved to Fairview, Okla. where we lived for 11 years. From there we moved to Carmen, Okla. in 1939 and remained there until her death.

Left to mourn her sudden departure are her husband, Fred P. Reimer; one sister, Agnes, Mrs. J. M. Martens of Fairview; five brothers, Dave of Fairview, John of Weatherford, Henry of Dinuba, Calif., George and Pete of Cleo Springs, Okla.; and a host of relatives and friends. Her parents and one brother preceded her in death.
