— Funeral services for Grandmother Marie Reimer were held Friday afternoon at the Goessel Mennonite church. Grandmother Reimer reached the age of 86 years, passing away Tuesday, Jan. 21. A large gathering of relatives and friends attended the funeral. Rev. Peter Buller preached in the German language and Re. P. P. Buller in English, while Rev. J. E. Entz of Newton closed with prayer. The Goessel church quartet, consisting of Ray and Armond Schmidt, Wilber Reimer and John Pankratz sang several numbers. Pallbearers were grandchildren of Mrs. Reimer — Marvin Loewen, Arnold Franz, Herbert Reimer, Orie Richert, Clarence Reimer and Philip Goertzen. Children surviving are Mr. and Mrs. A. S. Reimer, Canton; Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Reimer, Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Reimer, Canton; Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Loewen, Newton, Mr. and Mrs. John A. Reimer, Canton; Gus. Reimer, Newton and Bern. Reimer, Canton.
