text of obituary:

LEVI REIMER

Levi Reimer was born at Meade, Kan., on Feb. 23, 1928 and passed out of this life on Oct. 19, 1960. He reached the age of 32 years, seven months and 24 days.

At an early age, he in repentance and faith in Jesus sought and found peace with God in preparation for a life for the Lord. On Sept. 10, 1944, he was baptized and joined in fellowship with the Emmanuel Mennonite church of Meade, Kans. To this trust he remained true until the end.

In 1948 he suffered from a polio attack but was again so completely recovered that in a few years he passed all physical examinations for the service of his country. Thus he was inducted into I-W service in 1952 and served his entire term in the state hospital in Topeka.

In 1951 he was joined in holy wedlock with Elizabeth Ediger of Inman, Kan. To this union were born three children, Jerry Dean, Roy Dale, and Carol Ann. His death came after but little more than nine years of married life. His devotion to the family and manner with the children were above reproach.

His end came through a coronary heart attack while in his sleep. No symptoms of such had ever been evident since he enjoyed perfect health.

Left to mourn his early departure are his wife Elizabeth with the above named children, his mother, Mrs. C. A. Reimer of Meade, two sisters, Lena and Agnes, both attending Bethel College in Newton; his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Bernhard Doerksen of Satanta, Kan.; his parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. D. P. Ediger of Inman; two brothers-in-law and many other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his father, who passed away in 1959, and an infant brother. — The Family.
