• Mrs. Jacob A. Reimer, 76, sister of Mrs. George Schierling of North Newton, died Feb. 25 at Salem Hospital in Hillsboro. A memorial service was held Sunday afternoon at Goertz Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Marvin Hein in charge. Final services and burial took place Monday afternoon at the Emmanuel Mennonite Church of Meade, with Rev. Johnny Reimer and J. W. Fast officiating. Mrs. Reimer, the former Katie Classen, and her husband farmed near Meade for many years. He died in 1956, and in 1965 she entered Parkside Homes at Hillsboro. She suffered a stroke last April and since then had received care at the home for aged.
