HENRY REIMER

Henry Reimer, son of Bernhard and Helene Reimer nee Goossen, was born on December 13, 1874 in West Prussia, Germany. He came to this country at the age of two years together with his parents.

He attended the elementary school, parochial school of his home church, and later Bethel college. He received his early religious training in the home and the church and was baptized by Elder Gerhard Penner on June 6, 1892, upon his confession of faith in Jesus Christ and received into the membership of the First Mennonite church located west of Beatrice, Nebr.

He was united in marriage to Agathe Penner on April 26, 1900, and moved on a farm where they resided for 44 years, later moving to Beatrice.

He was active in church work, serving as deacon of the church for 24 years. ,

The last years he was in failing health and passed away suddenly on April 17, 1950, at his home.

He leaves his wife, one son, one daughter-in-law, two grandsons, three sisters, many relatives and friends. "Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Ps. 16:11.
