MRS. EDNA ISAAC REIMER

Our loving mother, Edna (Isaac) Reimer, daughter of Peter and Maria Isaac, was born April 7, 1907, in Marion County, Kansas. Soon after her birth her parents moved to the Reedley, Calif. community where she spent the rest of her life. Her childhood days were spent on a farm near Reedley, and she attended the elementary school.

As a child of 12 she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. She was baptized by the late Rev. D. C. Eitzen on April 20, 1919, and united with the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church for fellowship. She remained a member of this church to the end.

On Nov. 24,1932, she entered into the union of holy matrimony with Ferd Reimer. This union which, lasted 24 years, five months and 23 days, was blessed with two daughters, Joan and Joyce.

Our mother was a very faithful and devout Christian, seeking to know the Lord's perfect will in her daily life. She was the instrumentality that God used to bring her husband to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and in the many years of toil she constantly sustained him and encouraged him in his spiritual life.

In 1938 she suffered a stroke which left her partially paralyzed. She sought the Lord for healing but seemingly the Lord said unto her, "My grace is sufficient." In 1942 she had a second stroke which left her in a rather critical condition. This condition caused her to go through many trials and testings but she never lost faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. On May 17 of this year she suffered a third stroke which left her helpless and unable to speak. She was taken to the Reedley hospital where she received the best of care. On Monday morning, May 27, 1957, at 8:30, the Lord called her and she quietly slipped away to pass into the abundant entrance of the heavenly mansions. She reached the age of 50 years, one month and 20 days.

She leaves to mourn he departure her husband, Ferd Reimer of Reedley; two daughters, Joan, Mrs. John H. Isaak of Dinuba, and Joyce of the home address; one son-in-law, John H. Isaak; one granddaughter, Lynn, and one grandson, Robert.

She also leaves one sister, Velma, Mrs. Art Graves of Reedley. Besides these there are other relatives and friends who stand by in this hour of bereavement. — The Family.
