text of obituary:

CATHARINE REIMER

Catharine Reimer, daughter of Bernhard and Helene (nee Goossen) Reimer, was born January 18, 1872, in West Prussia, Germany. She came to America with her parents in June 1877 and the same year moved to a farm three and one-half miles west of Beatrice where she resided until her death.

Her formal education was received at a private school, the district school and the parochial school.

June 10, 1880, she confessed Christ as her personal Savior and received baptism from Elder Gerhard Penner and joined the First Mennonite church located near the parental home.

Though never very strong, she spent most of her life in her parents’ home helping with the housework. For a few years she enjoyed better health but in recent years was weak and after a prolonged illness at her home where she received the loving care of her younger sister, Margaret, she was taken to the Mennonite hospital. Even though she was not able to express herself, she and the family appreciated the tender care of the sisters and nurses. She passed to her reward August 29, 1951.

She leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
