MRS. HENRY REIMER

Mrs. Henry Reimer (nee Agathe Penner) was born to Gerhard and Anna (Froese) Penner on Aug. 29, 1875, in West Prussia. In February of 1877 she came to Beatrice, Neb. with her parents. She attended both the Beatrice public schools and the local Mennonite parochial school.

On June 6, 1892, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith by her father, an elder of the congregation, and was received into the membership of the First Mennonite Church. She retained this membership until the time of her death.

She was married to Henry Reimer on April 26, 1900, making her home with him on a farm west of Beatrice. Forty-four years later, in 1944 they moved into the city of Beatrice because of her husband's failing health.

On Tuesday, July 15, 1958,at the age of 82 years, and after a long, lingering and often difficult illness, she passed quietly and peacefully from this life.

Mrs. Reimer was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by their son, Gerhard P. Reimer, and his wife Hildegard, of Beatrice; one sister, Marie, and her husband J. H. Zimmerman, of Lincoln; one brother, Dr. H. G. Penner and his wife Anna; two grandsons, Lawrence and his wife Anne, and Dean; one great-grand-daughter, Duveen, all of Beatrice; as well as many other relatives and friends.
