text of obituary:

MRS. AGATHA REIMER

(Mrs.) Agatha Reimer was born in Alexandersheim, south Russia on June 10, 1897, the daughter of Frank and Justina Wiebe. At the age of three the family moved to Dolinsk, Neu Samara where she received her primary education. In 1911 the family bought an estate, Elenopal. In fall, 1919, after the difficult war years and the estate had been robbed three times, the Wiebes moved to the village of Klinok. Here she was married in June of 1922 to Peter Reimer.

The Reimers lived with his parents in Lugowsk until they emigrated to Canada in 1925, settling first in Janzen, Saskatchewan where their only child, Cornelius, was born. In 1934 they moved to Vineland, Ontario. They purchased a farm in nearby Virgil in 1937, their home for 39 years.

Mrs. Reimer received Christ as her Saviour in her youth and was baptized. She was a member of the Virgil Mennonite Brethren Church from 1937 on. Her desire and aim was to be ready when the Lord should call. She became ill in 1973, and moved to Tabor Manor in February, 1976. She bore her suffering quietly and on October 22 the Lord took her home. The funeral service was held October 25 in the Virgil Church, with pastor Abe Quiring and Herman Kroeker officiating.

She leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Peter; a son Cornelius and his wife Stella; five grandchildren; two sisters, (Mrs.) Elizabeth Unger and (Mrs.) Mary Pankratz; and many relatives and friends.
