Mrs. Selma G. Regier

Mrs. Selma G. Regier, 85, a resident of the Bethel Home for the Aged since 1973, died Friday morning.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Monday at Burrton Mennonite Church with Rev. James Gundy in charge. Burial will be in the Burrton Cemetery.

Calling time at the Draper-Cannon Funeral Home is this evening and from 1 to 9 p. m. Sunday. A memorial has been established for the Bethel Home for the Aged, and contributions may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Regier is survived by a son, Rev. Harold R. Regier, Newton; four daughters, Mrs. Oswald (Hilda) Klassen, Elbing, Mrs. Herman (Velma) Klingenberg, Reedley, Calif., Mrs. Harold (Elnora) Schrag, Newton, and Mrs. Peter (Elizabeth) Klassen, Phoenix, Ariz.; by four brothers, Henry Penner and Sam Penner, Newton, Marcus Penner, Halstead, and Eldon Penner, Chanute; by a sister, Mrs. Anna Schmidt, Goessel; by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was born Jan. 22, 1893, at El Reno, Okla., the daughter of Isaac and Elizabeth Schmidt Penner, and was married to Albert Regier at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church Sept. 2, 1916. Mr. Regier died April 16, 1958.

Mrs. Regier was a member of the Burrton Mennonite Church.
