MRS. KATIE REGBIER

Katie (nee Wiens) Regier, daughter of Gerhart and Susie (Dick) Wiens, was born on July 23, 1883 near Marion, S. D.

At an early age her parents moved to the Mt. Lake, Minn. area, and late to Ulen, Minn., where she was baptized upon her confession of faith on July 19, 1904 by Rev. H. H. Regier.

On Dec. 2, 1906 she was joined in holy matrimony to George F. Regier. In 1907 they moved to Arena, N. D. and helped to organized the Zion Mennonite Church of which she remained a faithful member until her death.

Mother Regier was active in church work and the ladies aid society. She also expressed her Christian love in hospitality to many visiting ministers and missionaries.

After an illness of six weeks mother passed to her heavenly reward on Oct. 21, 1961 at the home of her daughter, Annie. She lived to the age of 78 years, two months, and 29 days. Father Regier passed to his heavenly home in 1954.

The Lord blessed this union with three children,; Joe Regier of Arena, Annie, Mrs. Geo. Deckert of Arena, and Emma, Mrs. Abraham Friesen of Bridgewater, S. D. She leaves to await the reality of our living hope her three children, six grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. John Taves, and one step-brother, Peter Regier.
